Hi all,
I think that rather than add my new "products" to my signature list,
it would be more efficient if I used a mailing list to notify people
who are interested in my new stuff. For instance, I am now a reseller
of Virtual Audio Cables, so I can provide a $5 discount from the $30
list price. I

What I'm looking for is an audio
program that would do the processing in real-time, not record it but just
take input from the microphone, apply processing, then put it back out -
perhaps to the "other" VAC program, which could then be

Check for com port conflicts between PowerSDR and EasyPal.
Not sure, but if you launch a program that tries to grab a port PowerSDR is
using..."Bad Things will happen"...a line from Ghost Busters.
I don't know EasyPal, but it it also uses some sort of video capture card as an
option, tu
I had asked earlier about the PSDR transmit EQ - whether it works on audio
coming in from the PC via VAC -and I think I've determined that it does.
But - I'd like to be able to apply more audio processing than that. So my
next question is - has anyone got a way that audio coming from a good

I second the Avast recommendation. It updates automatically. It's fast. It
plays well with PowerSDR and the free Zone Alarm basic firewall. Avast personal
edition and Zone Alarm basic firewall are free.

Thanks to Steve, Brian and the others who sent me notes of support. If

I have not asked Neal to curtail his endeavors or advertizing of the services
and products on the reflectors. Actually, there will be a web page next week
on the Flex site encouraging people who want a turn key solution to use his
services.
I explained this to David privately that what Neal is

Steven,
The purpose of the large capacitor is not so much to reduce ripple but to
reduce voltage sag under current peaks. It really has nothing to do with
filtering.
If the power supply is being operated too close to its maximum output
rating, then instantaneous current peaks (during voice peaks
Does the PSDR transmit EQ only work on mic's which are plugged directly into
the Flex 3000, or will it
also effect audio coming in from a computer via the PSDR Audio->VAC channel?

This placing what amounts to putting a large capacitor across the output of
power supply seems to reflect poor DC filtering of the power supply unless I am
reading this wrong. That's mostly switcher power supplies where you run into
that and not the old standard linear types.

This morning I decided to experiment with digital SSTV and so I downloaded
the latest version of EasyPal to decode the signals.
I've properly configured the VAC stuff (I've used this often and
successfully with HRO).
With EasyPal launched, I then launch PowerSDR and it launches. When I try to
