For CW practice check out G4FON Koch Trainer. Sorry, can't help with the

I have found this to be a problem on my 5000 if I do not let the recording
playback complete the playback. Turning off the SDR and reopening clears it
up. It has never happened unless I interrupt the playback by clicking the
MOX to OFF while the playback is active.

No promises, but that is the plan. As Gerald said previously, WBIR is virgin

My CW has never been fantastic but gets really rusty due to work
schedules at times. The two best tools I've found for learning and
brushing up are:
1. The K7QO Code Course
2. The G4FON Koch Trainer
Both are freely available, Google is your friend.

Just installed v2.0.19. Install was flawless and no USB problems like last

so good. I also have noted the cpu usage is lower and I can use any buffer

I have been running PowerSDR v2.0.19 on my F5000A with the V/U module and a
i7 CPU running 64 bit Win 7 for the past two days.
The NR ANF functions seem to be working much better and the problem I had
experienced with the squelch on Rx2 when swapping VFO A B also seems to
have been resolved.

Dale,
In my case I've found as a temporary measure, if you run PowerSDR 2.0.19
RC1 in Realtime [ SetupGeneralOptionsProcess Priority ], the audio
distortion is pretty much eliminated with nr and/or anf turned on. This
is with 512 audio buffers and the new Firewire Device Driver running in
I can't say I'd noticed what TX antenna was indicated with PowerSDR
2.0.16, but now with 2.0.19RC1 I see that although the RX antenna
indication is VHF or UHF, the TX setting on these bands is always ANT1.
Is the selection wrong, or is the display wrong?

Alan:
While the antenna switching is functional, we do know the reporting on the
main screen can get out of sync. This is already on our list for 2.1.

All,
Just received my Flex-3000 on Friday. Got it set up and configured in time to

This is what I told Brad on Saturday to almost the exact same question. I
assume you would be upgrading fro, 1.18.x to 2.0.19.
2.0.19 is an RC version, meaning it is really darn close to being the next
release if there aren't any bugs in it. I would recommend that you stick with
1.18.6 until
Yes, I definitely notice some audio artifacting when the NR is engaged.
Running a 6-core AMD with Windows 7 64. Haven't *quite* it optimized per
the various instructions floating around, but the NR on 2.0.16 seemed
much smoother.
I filed away a post about tweaking some of the settings in the DSP

I understand that with the latest release (SDR 2.0.16), for the SDR 1K, CW will
only work with the keyer connected to the computer COM port and not the keyer
jack on the SDR 1K. The manual refers to the connection of a two-paddle keyer -
can you also connect a straight key?
