Happy Easter to All
I have a problem with a flex 3000. I have had the radio for 7 or 8 months
trouble free. I had a power supply issue with a defective wire within the
power supply. I cleared the trouble but the Flex was on in RX at the time.
To make a very long story shorter I went to transmit
Nope, that has not changed. We are not taking about adding "modems" to
PowerSDR, just making the changes so that DIGL behaves more appropriately when
interfacing to ASFK RTTY digi mode programs.

Have times changed? :-) When I asked about native digital modes last year the
response was it was decided early on that the existing digimode software was so
good and plentiful that vac was the way.

OK Tim, just for the matter, it wasn't and it isn't in my intention to
be against the FLEX AFSK at all. But as you rightly wrote inside
POWERSDR(TM) it could be made better and easy to use all around.
I am really tied to FLEX with AFSK, no regrets. I would like write a lot

Version 4.1.0 of the SDRDataTransfer utility has been released & is
available for download from my website.
A new version of the setup data is also available.
The only change to the utility that is visible to the user is in the way
that State data is transferred. By default, the transfer of the

Salvo,
Including you, many others have discussed the short comings of running ASFK
RTTY with PowerSDR. There have been some "Band-Aids" done in the past, but
what is really needed is a more functional implementation ASFK RTTY mode. As
the first step to that end goal of making PowerSDR the ult
Hello to all.
With the biggest respect to the experiences and the personal opinion of
everybody I would suggest to use MMTTY. Its internal filters are far
superior to the those inside FLDIGI. That's all, IMHO. All but not
enough for sure. Just to say more about my personal experiences and

Tom,
Did you remove the DC from the radio to do a complete reset? Make sure you
have the correct firmware in the radio also for 2.0.22, 2.0.15.3 .

Does the FlexControl have a "drag" adjustment for the knob? Just curious
as most knob radios have this feature.

I suspect that I have a problem with antenna switching no matter what antenna I
have selected for transmit the RF comes out of antenna port number 1.
Is there a good place to hit box with a hammer to get the relay to unlatch?
(just kidding)I did turn the unit on off and restarted the software.

But so does fldigi. You just use DDutil as a router for CAT commands thus
allowing fldigi and N1MM to have access to the CAT data stream to/from the
radio.

How about an image of the FlexControl. Where can I see one via web?

I just received the FlexControl and set it up so I could familiarize myself
with its operation.
I will admit, I am a die hard "mouse guy". I have tried the other knobs, like
the Griffin and the Shuttle Pro and both lasted about 3 hours in my operating
position before pulling them out. I didn'

Respectfully I submit that running DM780 and its logbook which has all of
the modes including SSTV is superior to the other software packages. Follow
the info in the FlexWiki and the KnowledgeBase and you will be happy. You
will need MiniDeluxe to have the Flex interface correctly with DM780. Make
Let's not forget that MMTTY integrates with other loggers like N1MM too.
MMvari gies you PSK as well as RTTY.

Why 'upgrade' to MMTTY?
FLDIGI is far superior, so IMHO migrating to MMTTY is a step downward.
I used MMTTY from its beginning.and last year made the switch to FLDIGI.
It was like swapping my Ford sedan for a Ford Mustang!!
