I had this exact same problem when in Bequia. I could not get an RF ground. I would key the rig and the computer would lock up. RF cores everywhere fixed the problem! If you don't have any RF cores, try putting a good RF ground to a ground rod to the F3K. George K2CM/J8K2CM -Original

I received an email from a ham who had his F5K memory messed up by airline security luggage xrays. I was given a recommendation to put the F3K in my carry on luggage for my up-coming FlexPedition to Bequia. I regularly carry a laptop with me when traveling by air and have never had an issue.
