With the MFJ-1025 or 1026, you need a second antenna that hears the level of
noise as strong as, or stronger
than what you hear it on your main antenna. It is quite easy and intuitive
using a Flex radio to see if the noise
source is being picked up equally strong. You really n

Hi Steve
Yes, the current iteration of PowerSDR is mature and a fantastic interface to
legacy radio’s. There are no bugs that I have found….HOWEVER…
I think there are some features that would be nice to have in PSDR. Not
critical, but would be awesome to have.

What happens if you own 3 SSDR radio’s ? Do you need to pay $ 200.00 per radio ?

I read a disturbing post on the TS-2000 reflector claiming that the legacy Flex
radio’s pollute the
bands with noise….it claimed that the Flex-5000, 3000 and 1500 are by far the
worst of any modern

The poster also said that under no circumstances should a Flex be used with an

Long time ago, I connected PSDR to HRD - that was easy to do, using VSP manager

In my opinion this is a seriously bad move by Flex, if it is true. Not everyone
is interested in the 6000 series.
I love my Flex-5000, Flex-3000 and Flex-1500, but if they are going to receive
little or no support due to
the 6000 getting the limelight, then my next move will NOT be to the Flex-6

The TS-990 is a 200 watt radio versus 100 watts for the Flex. The TS-990 has a
built-in
power supply - this is where MOST of the weight comes from. If Flex built a 200
watt
radio and provided a built-in power supply, I guess it would weigh in very close
to that.
