Has anyone measured the PTT-to-RF make and release timing with the newest
firmware/software releases? My antique LBO-518 has a sweep problem that
precludes me from getting a measurement.
Maybe this is all dependent on DSP/Buffer settings and inherent latencies? I
think yes, but...everyone's

Bill,
All mic EQ's, processors out of line...Flex eq too...
Why would a Flex radio need pre-emphasis on TX (and de-emphasis on RX?). I
would think if you used the Setup-Tests-Sweep from 20-5K and used TX monitor
with an RTA software program you would/should see a flat line.
If the TX EQ on the
The Flex Radio supplied firewire cable has been adequate here...
If RF in the shack is an issue, the little beads on the cable at HF aren't
gonna do much. Firewire twisted pair inherently will
reject a lot of RF on a balanced line. Super/multiple shielding is not
normally the issue, it's common

I experienced the same no receive issue with the new firmware. I do not
have a second RX and have a 27 older RFIO board.
One possible cause might be running the latest test SVN instead of the
1.14.0 PwrSdr release with the new firmware...just a guess...

I had a similar error also:
Bad data detected in EEprom
SWR B160M=0.00
Since I don't operate 160M, I OK'd/cancelled out and PwrSdr loaded and all
has been fine with the new firmware/firewire drivers (with a new SVN folder
from the test branch). CW finally works from the key jack on the rear
Be careful of the DX button (do not go past 1)and monitor the TX Meter for
levels at MIC and CPDR pre/post if EQ is used...

A pair of Behringer MS20 or 40's will accommodate two line inputs with
separate volume levels, very nice sound. Some shacks may require a few
ferrites ;-)

Amen, and for those amongst us who wish for a timed sequenced output for
TX1-TX3, consider making that a selectable option. We all can wish in one
hand, want in the other and see which one fills up first!

Well, my take is the performance monitor/CPU usage is vital tool to gauge
performance issues since PowerSDR can be processor intensive more so than
memory dependent and if Vista (version ¿) negates this, would someone from
Flex categorically state that this tool will be lost for Vista(for now).
Hi all,
After reading the initial release of the owner's manual, there no longer a
selectable option with variable timing as was the case with the '1000
running PowerSDR. What a shame! If one chooses the Flex 1000 during future
software releases will this function (X2 TR sequencing) still be
