My image was apparently really bad. I got notice during the contest that I
was heard on both sidebands.
Ran control shift p image calibration and it failed. Also ran for transmit.
Both failed.
What shall I do now?

Attempting to get vista machine to run PowerSDR.
While installing the driver the found new hardware never comes up, yet the

When attempting to start PowerSDR the error unable to load DttSP: module

I have both radios now and used them in the just ended DX contest. I did
lots of a/b comparisons.
Let me tell you (from my perspective) nothing beats the audio and visual
input to the brain. With the 5000 narrowed down to 100Hz or less, it was
unbeatable.

Harry, W9BR, sent a message to the reflector mentioning that he used a VPN
to remotely connect to his radio.
My message to him was rejected. Fortunately the reflector doesn't do the
same as AOL.
What VPN do you use? Are there any out there other than cisco's?
I would appreciate any info.
Thanks,
Edwin,
What you are saying is what I saw also, until I ran the calibration,
then I got the results expected. I'd run the calibration and see if
that changes your results.

You should not need to remove Janus to get Ozy recognized.
My understanding of what you're seeing now is Ozy will get recognized
by the computer
I can get Ozy to be recognized by removing Janus. I two brand new boards
and get the same results with both.
Is part of the process in getting to get these to work that you must remove
janus to get ozy started??

Jeff, the waterfall is just what we've been looking for. And it works
great. Linrad really set the bar on this, and you've brought PowerSDR very
close.
One question, how can I set the gain? I'm sure I'm missing something, but
what happens is when I go to different bands the colors go wild

Does anyone have a 1 watt SDR-1000 they want to part with? I could use one

The world awaits the PowerSDR code to drive FlexWire.
A dearth of FlexWire output devices exist and are waiting to be exploited.
A daughter board for the existing UCB that will accept FlexWire commands
awaits the same PowerSDR code to test and then to drive it.

I got an answer from Eric today.
The program checks to see if it can gain access to the CPU value and if it
doesn't the display is not made.
I will soon be putting XP over this, I just wanted some experience with the
rogue OS know as vista.
Thanks,
Phil

Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Firewire cable and 5000
I would think that you would need to provide your own unless you are
buying a Firewire card from FlexRadio
First let me state that I am thrilled with the advent of an improved SDR.
1. Will the antenna tuner be an add-on option? I noticed when I placed my
order that it was not an option. Therefore, can I assume that it can be
added at a later time?
2. Will there be provision to drive the LO chain
Will the 5000 come with a firewire cable, or shall we obtain our own?

I am contemplating selling one of my SDR's. Recently the 1 watt version was
upgraded to 100 watt and auto tuner.
Some local folks are interested only in the 1 watt version. Is there any
interest in the optional 100 watt amplifier and auto tuner? If so, I will
sell separately.
Thanks,

I am using a separate sound card. Delta 44 for the SDR and a cheapo for WL.

Steve,
Sorry I didn't notice your email earlier.
I have relays, all which came from ebay, that range from 6 pole to 20 pole
all easily capable of being driven from the UCB. The relays that I use are
all 28 volts and work fine as Mike says.
The DowKey I have are 6MP-24-L-0001

I used the SDR-1000 in last weekends contest and was very disappointed in
the operation of the Virtual Serial Cable. It was constantly losing it's
connection between the logging software and the SDR.
It happened when ever there was a period of time when the transmitter was
keyed by the logger,
Don't know if you noticed it or not, but I was working with Bob Tracey on
the CAT control pre contest last weekend and he added the UP / DOWN feature
on CAT control. I found it outstanding to be able to keep the focus on the
logging program and still have tuning capability with the mouse scroll

Two of us are experiencing an identical interface anomaly with the above
mentioned products. Hopefully someone on one of these reflectors can offer
some constructive advice as to the resolution.
We are using WL 10.61E and PowerSDR v1.6.3 and v1.9.0
The systems are set for VHF and UHF bands
Regarding the future absence of the 1 watt unit, will there be a QRP port?
That is absolutely necessary for transverter work. Perhaps the new unit
will have better transverter capabilities.
I would think that as many as I encounter doing VHF/UHF work with the SDR,
that the qrp unit would be more
