Well, I am not an audiophile, but have found the equalizer in Pre-Beta 9
Consoles to be a big help. I have gotten unsolicited compliments on my
audio using a POS Japanese mike. I also found peaking the audio on
receive around 600-700 Hz really helps on CW receive. I would miss the
equalizer if
Loaded P9 here. Installed OK, but when I went to setup in immediately
locked up. I imported DB from P8. I tried running FFTW_WISDOM again in
P9 directory. The program comes up, but if you click on anything,
including the Standby button, it locks up.

OK, this is probably simply, but I can't figure it. I have Digipan and
MixW working fine, but trying to configure MMSSTV (and MMRTTY), I can't
get them to work. I tried the setup in the SDR_VAC pdf file. I have no
audio. BUT, if I select Audio device 1 in the MMSSTV config, I can
receive, but n

Well, I have had a couple days to play with the SDR-1000. Made contacts
on CW, PSK31, RTTY and SSB. I am very pleased with the way it works. I
had rather expected that I would end up spending most of my time
figuring out how to solve glitches in software, but even running 1.4.5
Beta 4, I have h
got SSB working (well, from the reports).
So I am pleased that it only took a couple of days to get evrything
working with the SDR-1000 as I wanted.

So all is well. Thanks to everyone for the help and encouragment.

Today I set up VCOM and VAC. I got Ham Radio Deluxe working FB with the SDR, and
even worked TU5JM on PSK31 with it, at just 10 watts out! Also got N1MM Logger
working with it. It has been much easier to set up than I thought.
Now if I can just find where I put that mike, I might try SSB

My SDR-1000 arrived! I found I was short on stereo cables, so buzzed over to the
local Radio Shack. Seems they have taken down almost ALL their parts and stuff,
for Christmas junk. :-( So, I ordered some online. I already have the M-44
board, and Eric's breakout board. I downloaded and registere

little SR-40 receiver kit ended up costing me a bunch! ;-) Besides that, I
upgraded my old P3 700Mhz to a P4 3.2 Ghz/1G memory, and got the "approved" D44
sound card.
What was nice was that the little SR-40 gave me

Transverter at 7.5 pounds. I would be curious to know the reason for the
