FWIW, I take the TX relay output from the radio (which also keys the
linear) to start a timer which if it stays closed for more than 10
minutes kills all power to the radio (via another relay). Crude but
functional. Prevents Old Buzzard transmissions, too.

This was problem for me too. Now I have configured my ADSL modem so
that remote CW and audio are having high priority, Graphics and web
like traffic is low priority. Bandwidth management did the trick.
I used to use Timbuktu Pro for remote desktop, but Tight VNC has been
performing better.

Bandwidth is ½ of the problem. The other issue running over the Internet is
latency and delta latency (latency over time)
Here are some of my tips to reduce the video-induced latency:
1. Make sure averaging is turned on the panadapter.
2. Minimize PSDR when you do not need it on the screen.
3. Reduce the frames per second rate of the display (in the Setup/Display
box).
4. You can try increasing the resolution of the t
Mark,
Decreasing the number of colors (color depth) can help also. But if
you got to have the panadapter, you are going to have to have the bandwidth
no matter what you use to transfer it.. Even in raw data..Catch 22..

Trying to run SDR and view the panadapter over the internet is quickly becoming

Hi Mark:
FWIW, I use my 3000 exclusively remotely since I can't deploy antennas
at the home condo. You're quite right that the panadaptor and other
data rich display modes can be a real bandwidth hog.
As a benchmark, using VNC for remote desktop access, the panadaptor eats
