Yep Im afraid this times out for me -- thanks for confirming it wasn't just
my n00bness wirth SVN :-)
AFAIK Holger is away until the end of next week so Im not expecting any change
till then.
On linux the "stable" version fails for me with
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/fgfs/fgfs/fgcom/src$ make
gcc -O2
Friday, October 12, 2007.
Hi Holger,
I have progressed with my WIN32 port of FGCOM, but now a problem with the
910.00 'echo' ...
1. svn checkout svn://svn.dfn.de:/fgcom
This continues to fail - a timeout. Can others checkout this source? I
eventually downloaded and used fgcom-1.0.1.tar.gz

Windows users are used to seeing servers (especially game servers) running
under Linux so this is not so bad.

Hans,
as I wrote I am writing code for this feature since a year. The first
implementation was bad (only in Perl). Now I am using C - that's quite

Hi Nick,
I haven't read the whole thread until now. But let me tell you that I am
working on that since a year and I want release the software soon. Until
than take alook at http://squonk.abacab.org/dokuwiki/fgcom. Currently
the software runs (for me) and I am writing the documentation and FAQ.
Hi, I am not up to speed with the other efforts in this area, which I
know have been going on. But I do have significant VOIP experience and
I'll just throw out some thoughts.
First, if you're not intimate with VOIP let me tell you (without
discouraging you, I hope) that it won't be as easy as you
Hi Sébastien,
Thanks. That is exactly what I want to do. Interesting thing is that he has
the exact idea I have for how to do the implementation.

Hi Nick,
http://squonk.abacab.org/dokuwiki/fgcom
here you'll find the webpage for FGCOM, the project for real voice over
IP in FG. I don't know if it is Thomas Forster behind this, but it is
the only one project I know about voice communication.
Hope this helps
