I already reported this issue some time ago, and it has been fixed in
the new 0.9.2 release.
the reason why your packets were discarded is that there was no
Acct-Status-Type attribute (which is mandatory).

Hi all,
I'm in the process of setting up a FreeRADIUS server to replace our
ancient one, and part of our requirements mean using attr_rewrite. Is
there any decent documentation/how-to's out there on how it is used?
And FWIW, I'm going to share our logic, so please feel free to poke holes
in it:
Hello!
Ive installed Exim 4.20, in my Linux Red-Hat 9 server.
After my installation I perform all tests following the documentation in
your web site successfully.
Right now I can send mails though Exim but I need my Exim clients
authenticate in my Freeradius server, and I cant find a document

FreeRADIUS comes with 'radtest' and 'radclient', which behave much
the same as NTRadPing, but without the Windows GUI interface.

In the OReilly RADIUS book, it mentions a (free) debugging tool from
MasterSoft, Inc. called NTRadPing. I picked it up last night from
http://www.dialways.com. This actually redirects to MasterSoft.

It often doesn't mean much. The EAP module has been cleaned up in
the CVS head to get rid of a number of extraneous error messages.

Does it use telnet or SNMP to log in the Portmaster and determine if a user
is already active? If it uses SNMP I likely need to configure it yet.

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to assign wireless users to VLANs. Here is the configuration :
- freeradius 0.9.1 on Red Hat 7.2
- Cisco AP1230 (IOS 12.2(11)JA1) with 2 vlans (10=SSID10 and 30=SSID30)
- PCMCIA Card Aironet 350
With static mapping (SSID-VLAN) on the AP, authentication works fine. The

I have done that. I am likely not giving near enough info to get help.

fine. The problem doesn't appear to resurface with the -s option. My test

RADIUS is not a database query protocol.

The accounting log file is not a table, it is just a file. RADIUS
is not designed to display information to users. It only does
three things (They all start with 'A') and it only does it between
the radius server and the NAS. Anything you want to display to
a user must be done externally.

maybe i've misundertoodably written down my problem:
I can set these accounting informations in freeradius, i can see them in
the accounting files (/usr/local/var/log/radius/radacct/...) and they are
having all the good values, BUT here comes my problem:
i would need these informations (

I don't have the passwd, group or shadow fields specified in the unix
module as you started.
I did more testing with this Perl script I wrote that uses radtest to
repeatedly test FreeRadius with a username and password file. If the
username is near to the top of the passwd file it has a mu

Hi there!
i've got a really stupid problem here, and maybe it cannot be solved any
way but here it is:
i want to get the following informations (accounting fields) from
freeradius server, when a user authenticated himself:
