For your info, I usually start the recordserver via a boot script in rc2.d and
freevo later from
/etc/inittab.
It looks as if this second recordserver process is the root of all my problems.
Do you have any idea where it is comming from?

Maybe the last things are related to the recordserver problem. I should mention
that running the
tv_grab_de_tvprog.py script standalone does (and did always) work, thus the

PS: I still have those cases where the whole recording business is worki
problem was that the error trace of that mistake has been lost
somewhere in freevo and was
never shown to me, as the user (see bug tracker 1886624: "silent dead if error
in local_conf.py").
In the current svn revison this is fixed.
Maybe that fix helps you...

The beaon output told me that I did not have sqlite3 installed,

I did fix a small bug in the routine that checks for external programms.
This is the new version.
Moreover I put a description and a download link in the wiki.
Maybe someone is intersted in this after all.
