Hi,
At first i must say that is great to know that somebody is working on
Zend_Pdf.
So what i like to se, Tables!!!Definitely. I think that Zend_Pdf is
quite good even now but lack of tables cause that we still use fpdf.
One more thing which will be great is refactoring of drawText fun
I`m also interested in Zend_Pdf.
I`d would also ask if there are any notes/todo lists describing what is
planned to do in future releases in Zend_Pdf component?
There is much to read about needs but no official info from either Alexander
nor other ZF Team member.
Thanks in advance for any hints :
We are about to embark on a massive PDF project,
most of what we need (if not all) is covered by the comprehensive Zend_Pdf
updates.
What are the expected date for community review and early testing.
Are there any other dates you could share ?
Is there anything we can do to help expediate this

Hi Sasa,
I've got similarly complex financial assistance forms I need to produce.
Until Zend_Pdf has features for easily filling PDF templates, the
solution I use is to author the form PDF document completely inside
Adobe LiveCycle, making sure to define each fillable field as a real PDF

Hey Willie,
nice to see Zend_Pdf progressing.
I use it to pre fill an insurance form. Here ist the template:

It is quite a beast. Many fields. It is a lot of work to find all the
coordinates of the fields,
Recently i have been using it to create flyers via a CMS. All data is loaded
from a database and relevant pictures are looked up on the HardDisk.
In the past i've used fpdf (or extended versions of it) a lot for:

Hi Willie,
I'm not currently using Zend_Pdf, but there are two major use cases that
would like to use it for:
* Filling a pre-created PDF template. My main use would be for printing
check stock. I want to have a PDF document already made with all the
layout, and simply replace a few placehol

This is one way we use Zend_Pdf:
- We open a PDF file which complies the PDF/X-3 Standard. (Made with
InDesign.)
- We add TIFF-Images
- We add some ttf Fonts and Text-Blocks
- We save it
