Battery Problem-G3 Series

Need some help please... I have two new batteries, different brands, for my G3 Wallstreet. Both batteries show ~16.80 volts when inserted in the PB using the application MyBattery PPC. The menu bar battery shows a depleted battery icon and the PB goes down on low voltage sleep when unplugged. I
