An old email ISP cut their service, (as had been advised). However I
had routed my new email address to the old one, so for a few days while
traveling, I lost all incoming. Maybe I will never know if I lost
anything important.
The main problem however is that I had quite a few emails in my

When I deleted the discontinued email address from the preferences,
all that mail disappeared; in spite of a popup appearing to say all
would be safe. Of course, putting the address back in did not bring
back the emails.
