Evening Lista's,
Having been involuntarily forced into using Safari from N/S 4.8...Is anyone
familiar with how I can send a web page in Safari? I know that in N/S there
is the Send Page option under the File menu. Also, what are recommendations
for a good, easy to follow tutorial on 10.2.3?

Picked up a Blueberry clamshell with yo-yo today (for $20 it seemed like
worth a chance).
When I got it home I got it to boot by jiggling the power connector. It
looks like the power connector might be loose on whatever board it is
mounted to.
While it boots fine to OS 8.6, it does not charge
Grab the small icon to the left of the link in the address bar and drag
it into an e-mail. Or highlight it and go to Safari/Services/Mail/Send
Selection and OS X will create a new e-mail document for you with the
link as the message body. Or you can cut and paste it into an e-mail.

This iBook does not have a PRAM battery. I think it uses a capacitor
that's good for a very short times--the time to unscrew the battery and
replace it--if you're lucky. The big battery is the only battery in it.
If the main battery is dead, you need to run it with the adapter and get
another
According to my tech manual, the Claimshell iBook has no backup battery and
is a bear to take apart.

The problem with so many of these batteries--unless you buy them from
someone like bti--is that they have been on the shelf and die. I bought
two from overstock.com and they were d.o.a. i was able to bring them
back to life with a vst charger... others have not been able to do that

Ken,
Even if this iBook had a bad motherboard, you got a steal. Either way,
sounds like the Ion battery (Apple M7426 Li-Ion Battery Clamshell
iBook) is dead. You can find them used on eBay for about $70+. These
will hold about a 5 hour charge. I am using one now that I bought on
eBay. New
I bought mine almost two years ago from megamacs.com. I've done business with them for
years, and the machine has been perfect. I just checked their site and they have a few
machines... The best seems to be one for $799:
* Apple Powerbook G3 400MHZ
* 14 LCD Screen
* 320MB of RAM
There was one on LEM-Swap a few days ago.
