If you're throwing other users in the mix, then it will add another level of complexity, plus the added problem of permissions. Even if you are the administrator, you don't have access to some folders of the other users. It's hard to synchronize the content of a folder when you don't have

60GB 7200RPM or 80GB 5400RPM

2004-03-31 Thread Sam
What would you buy? I'm really stuck here. I can't decide which drive to buy for my Pismo, and I need one very soon. I'm stuck between the Hitachi/IBM Travelstar 60GB 7200rpm vs the 80GB 5400rpm. Since I've seen very similar prices on them, is the performance increase from a 5400rpm drive to a

Hi. I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with an external monitor. I've had one and have solved it. The Problem: If I have an external monitor attached when I power up my PB (Jaguar-only install), I'd end up with a blank screen on both the LCD and the external monitor. If I'd boot

Since I've seen very similar prices on them, is the performance increase from a 5400 rpm drive to a 7200rpm drive worth the smaller size? I'll be doing some video editing, some music editing, and a lot of general everyday multi-tasking in various apps. For video editing, I would get the 7200
