If you're throwing other users in the mix, then it will add another level of

What would you buy?
I'm really stuck here. I can't decide which drive to buy for my Pismo, and I
need one very soon. I'm stuck between the Hitachi/IBM Travelstar 60GB
7200rpm vs the 80GB 5400rpm.
Since I've seen very similar prices on them, is the performance increase

Hi.
I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with an external monitor.
I've had one and have solved it.
The Problem:
If I have an external monitor attached when I power up my PB
(Jaguar-only install), I'd end up with a blank screen on both the LCD
and the external monitor. If I'd boot

I just recently replaced the HD in my Pismo.
It was so easy I can't tell you! I went by the movie from OWC.

don't miss down further, where it says: Yes, Show me.
Here are more powerbook install info's:
Versiontracker throws up a few different options with mixed feedback.
Any suggestions on good tools?

I'm not the author and I agree. There are lots of other tools that
I just purchased a dead Pismo, which according to the seller
had been dropped. I'm trying to revive it. The case has a small
crack but otherwise it appears to be in very good physical condition.
It won't power on, and there are no lights on the battery etc--no sign
of power whatsoever.

The recent thread about base stations whetted my appetite for wireless.
I've also been longing to break the built-in 10 Meg, half-duplex LAN
limitation I've got so now sounds like a good time to buy once I get my
facts straight.
Today I went to CompUSA to check out the Buffalo that was

I had a G-books administration warning, and I replied to it. Now I am
missing G-Books Digest #1667. Could someone please send me a copy?
Thank you very much,

One thing I forgot to mention regarding the dead Pismo;
there's no hard drive in it. But I assume it should power on
without a drive, correct? There is a DVD drive and I have
the startup disc.
I'm thinking about sending it in to Powerbookresq.com--
any experiences with them? It seems like $49 is a
I wanted to reboot from my Disk Warrior
CD-ROM so I put it in the internal CD-ROM drive and
rebooted, holding down the C key, but the computer
started up from the HD, eventually reporting that
it couldn't recognize the CD-ROM and offered to eject
or initialize it, so I chose the former.
