Hi Cheryl You say that the specs of your mac are internal cd/dvd and external q drive cdrw. OK someone tell me if i am wrong but why put a blank cd/dvd in the internal drive anyway. because there is nothing that you can do with it in there, because it is just a dvd not a burner and it would not

Has anyone used the program VolumeWorks or iPartition to resize existing HFS+ partitions? I recently upgraded my Powerbook Pismo with an 80gb drive, copied the partition from the old drive using dd on my unix box, and to my surprise, could not resize the partition with the Disk Utility on the OS X

This is a new problem for me -- I've never seen it before. Whenever I insert a blank disk in my PowerBook (Pismo) or in my external QueFire burner, it is not recognized. Have you checked your system preferences? In CDs and DVDs you can set the action your Mac takes when you insert a blank disc.
