Barbara, a USB adapter card, e.g. the Macally CardBus: http://www.macally.com/spec/usb/connecting_device/uh2226.html just slip into the PCMCIA slot, and you plug the USB cable into that. You can also find various adapters that provide additional ports. Note that the above card is USB 2.

I must be missing something then. Option key, and choose the firewire. Nothing happens and then it defaults to the PB's drive. T key only gives me as previously described. Do I need to reinstall Tiger on the FW drive? I thought it all copied over when I did the backup. Later..

I just got the Fantom Drive 120 gig firewire unit from MacMall (fast delivery! Got here in 3 days using ground delivery!). It's now formatted as journaled HFS, and I was able to use Drive Genius to do a full backup of my powerbook's HD. All is well. Except.shouldn't I be able to boot from t
