My account was the first one I created when I got the computer, will
there be any problem deleting it? (I'm not an expert when it comes to
UNIX-type things.) I figure if I login as root, I can delete any user,
even if it's a 'super-user'.

Hi all,
Can the iBook (firewire version) VGA adapter be used to connect to a
projector? I don't know exactly the specs of the projector, but I know it
will take a VGA connection. I have to give a Powerpoint presentation
tomorrow and I want to make sure my iBook will connect and work with the
in
general, so that might've been the explanation.

Has anyone found a Hotline client that actually *works* with OS X? I've
tried iSwipe, HotCocoa, and HotPants (and plain ol' Hotline Client under

Apparently it is a known problem with at least some TiBooks. I saw it
mentioned on another email list a few months ago.
My husband works at the Dept. of Biochemistry at the local university,
supporting a lot of Macs, and recently a professor had to send her new
TiBook back to Apple because it
because my husband, a UNIX-head, said, Well, in UNIX, if
you forget your root password, you're screwed! Reinstall! This is a Mac...
there's gotta be an easier way!

Hi,
A quick question - is there a way for me to import my address book list
from Outlook Express to OS X's Address Book? My problem with Outlook
Express is that I've never found where it stores any of its information.
Or rather, it doesn't seem to make an 'address book file' or anything
that
ditch one or the other version, but I do not want
to do that, at least not yet.)
Thanks again,
