Hi all,
I've messaged the list about this a few times, but now it's gotten even
more bizarre. I have a Pismo 400, 512 MB RAM, 10.2, etc. etc. It has a
relatively new (6 months) BTI battery which works great, usually. Here's
the hitch though:
Sometimes, when I am disconnecting the AC power (and th
I also own a BTI battery for my Pismo, and those 4 lights on the side
threw me for a loop. The trick is: when you press the little button on
the battery, all 4 lights light up but some are brighter than the others.
You have to look at it pretty much straight on to notice the difference.

There's another option if you don't want to use the control strip. Go to
the control panel which controls the menu bar clock (um... I forget which
one it is. Date & Time or maybe General Controls... it's been a long time
since I used OS 9!). You can tell it to display your battery status next

I *always* put my Pismo to sleep. The reason is quite simple: I get my
computer running as I want it and I don't want to go through all that
again. For example, right now I have running: Terminal, Adium, Camino,
Path Finder, Project Builder, Interface Builder, Tex-Edit Plus, AppleWorks

Actually, I think it's RAM config-specific. I also have a Pismo. When I

Yep, OS X actually runs a fsck at startup time. Unfortunately, it seems to
permanently take a long time for me, so I suppose I should r

My Pismo has always had a pretty loud trackpad button. I've basically
lived with it and used the trackpad itself for clicking (which is great

Greetings from the freakin' freezin' north...
Inspired by a brief mention in a recent post -- it's not powerbook
specific, or it might be. I run a Pismo 400 w/512 MB RAM and 10.2.4...
I don't really have a problem, but I suspect something is amiss. People

I'm a Pismo user, will that do? ;)
