Looks like faster G5s are soon to be rolling on out. And they'll
contribute
less for heating and reduce the need for A/C too! While the first IBM

processors Apple is now using in PowerMac G5s are based on

die technology, the next speedbump will come from 90NM technology

You might try putting the displays icon in your top menu bar for OS X
so it appears near the clock on the top-right hand corner of the screen
and near the volume control there. After you have unsuccessfully tried
to set your desired (non-1024x768) resolution using s-video out, some

I too have a question regarding the processor upgrades for the
wallstreet machines. What can one expect for battery life after the
upgrade especially for the G4 upgrade? Can someone who has the upgrade
comment on this?
Also to clarify a point made earlier, not all powerbook series II
I don't have this problem on my Pismo, and I have 1GB of ram and a G4
upgrade. Not much way to draw more juice than that...

Under the system profiler for my 300mhz wallstreet (which it does say on
the bottom of the machine) it says the machine is running a 450mhz, could
this be an upgrade that I haven't heard about in the machine since I just

I know USB is possible on wallstreet, but who carries the cards? I have

I am buying a powerbook wallstreet 300mhz, 8/192, and want to partition the
hard drive so that I can run OS 9.1, some version of X, and an emergency
boot version of 9.1. I am using 9.1 because I am told it is not plagued by

Which is the better deal? I work your account until I know it is
