Hi, Re I think the filesharing in Panther is worse, too - I can't see my old PowerBooks that run 7.6.1 anymore. They can see the OSX machine, but can't connect thru Appletalk or IP settings. I get a password incorrect error message every time. Then, your machine is not configured properly.

We have a small network at home and I use file sharing frequently. Since upgrading to Panther I've been confounded by how it is handled now. When I log onto another computer its icon isn't mounted to the desktop or to the sidebar. There's no visual hint at all that I am sharing and no way to log
