I have a Pismo 500. Everything works just hunk dory. But I
occasionally get the 'pink screen'. Starts in the lower left hand
corner and in its worse case it stretches up about 2 inches into the
screen. Sort of fans out from the corner.
Does not matter if the Pismo is running

Does not matter if the Pismo is running on batteries
sleeping, my Pismo has a pink screen. It only lasts temporarily,
but I want to know what I can do about it. Will my screen begin to
fail? Any information would be most appreciated.
This has been discussed over the last few weeks. IIRC, it does affect
some
Pismos, but not all of them. Apparently

turned up the report in Macintouch that I had probably read a long
time ago - the dreaded Pismo Pink Screen of Death!
This report is not that conclusive, many people got their LCD replaced
under AppleCare, but it is not obvious if this is really the sign of a
failing LCD/backlight? Can anyone
I can't comment on how much worse it might get, or if
the pink screen of death does signal a failing
LCD/backlight...but I can tell you that I had my
Pismo's LCD replaced twice in the first year b/c of
the Pink screen.

Well, I've had my Pismo 400 for 2 years now. It's exhibited the Pink screen
right after waking up from sleep for about 15 seconds problem ever since
I've had the machine. At first, I always thought that just happened. It
wasn't until later when I read about the Pink

I'm the third owner of this 400 Pismo, and the screen may have been pinkish
from the beginning. I'm colorblind -- red-green -- and knew there was a
splotch, but didn't ID it as pink until a service person did. It's been this
way for the past two

Yep, I've had this for about a year on a nearly 3-year old Pismo 400. The
pink tints the whole screen for maybe 2 seconds when waking up, and there
are pink regions coming from the bottom right and left after wake up and
on start up
I have been looking at trading up from a PDQ (300) to a Pismo.
The only thing that slows me down here are the stories of pink screen
syndrome on the Pismo form factor. Let's assume I buy a Pismo and it
develops pink screen. Is this something that you notice for only a dew
moments after
