There are things you can do to reduce lightning damage odds dramatically. You need a good arrester ("protector") with 3-wire gas tubes and/or 'delta modules' at the service entrance. You MUST have a good ground. (Deity Help You if you are on a granite mountain...). You protect the power as wel

The area I live in is currently being served by Adelphia Cable. But, we got a notice in the mail a few weeks back saying that they are being bought out by Comcast. There is supposed to be about a year for the transition to take place but I 'think' I'll be happy with Comcast. Tim On Jun
