in disk utility. You need a partition and when you start up use the option key
to select the start up volume. It will boot as it was a DVD.

G4 PM up to Dual 1.25 F/W 400 will boot both 9.2.2 and 10.4.11 where G5 PM
will not boot OS9..2.2 but will run Classic along with Tiger. Ive done it with
Pagemaker 7.

The LCS on the G5 Quad has two pumps It may be a pump failure, they're known
for that. Do you have Hardware Monitor? it shows the pump RPM's.

I say if the ASD passed it's almost always a MOBO problem with the on board
ROM. The ASD has its own ROM.
