I used demeter, I don't know if supports html5, but if I go to
http://html5.grooveshark.com/ it plays nice and uses about 10% cpu
sometimes less!
The flash version took sometime to load, and then failed because I have a
I have a Creative Live! Vista IM Camera from my "pc" days that works fine
with my Powermac G4, tested in skype and works fine.
For Mic it uses a generic 3.5mm jack micro.

Unless the E-mac was like 50eur or so I would preffer to invest in the

512Mb PC133 ram as said is dirt cheap this days...and will give you a
nice boost vs the 512Mb that you have now...
If you need some advice on upgrades, read the powerpc faq that I made

Guess it will only give some improvement if you game a lot, and even
so the sawtooth cpu is already the bottleneck on the 6200.
keep in mind that 6800 need good Power Supplys..

The sleep problem is common to certain flashed cards,I have a 6200

About the other problems:
First of all,are you sure you have a sawtooth?I ask this because,I

Great info about those adapters.

Optical Drive: any cheap one from a pc store will work...maybe you
will need to use patchburn (I don't know for sure, guess it is OS

Case: search for an used one ,maybe you can get it cheap.
I would stay with it

If you want sata for the speed, guess you must keep looking to pci
cards, but if your main concern is the price of the sata hdds vs IDE
ones, you can buy those cheap ide to sata adapters on ebay, they work on
mac too...
I bought one for my powermac, and it works well.

I've read somethings and it appears that although there is no adobe

That screen telling about flash in the installation is just generic I

Thanks for the reply Eric.
As said above,I didn't upgraded the CPU and don't plan to do it...
Now,even with a 17' CRT I know that the crappy ati 16mb is "the
bottleneck",so guess I'll spend 20eur in a pc 9700pro and flash it to
mac..

What is a LoBo.
As said, maybe your problem is bad capacitors, and if have someone who
can change them, you only have to follow the ifixit guide to
disassemble the g5 and take the board off..

Where can I find info about the hack?I've searched already but didn't
found it...
I am trying to make this machine really "lowend" on money, because:
1)I'll only use it on weekends
2)I am student and don't have much money.
I already thought about sata pci cards, but the money that I have to
pay for
oh and about the macbook's 250Gb 5400rpm HDD,wouldn't it be detected
if I partition it into partitions with less than 128Gb?!?
I thin it would be a lot faster than that 7200RPm hdd that I
have, mainly because it has more cache, and it is a much newer
techoh and new!

Thanks all of you for the suggestions, but I'll try to make some things

1) This Mac is only used in the weekend to surf on the web, when I

Currently it is running tiger, but I think it is a little slow (I think
it is the HDD fault)..
I am planing to upgrade the HDD to my 250Gb 5400rpm "m
