Yes, I really must say you have done a great job, and I am pushing Ganglia pretty hard - basic stats @ 5 second polling interval, 30 clusters and 2,500 windows hosts to 1 Ganglia Server. And thank you to the people who are still working on the code - I know you have all helped me big time. - Ric

Hi Paul, as for the "mcast_if" stuff, there seems to be some handling in "lib/apr_net.c" routine "mcast_join". But glancing over the code it "feels" fishy. Maybe Matt can have a look. Cheers Martin --- Paul Millar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > At the risk of asking some stupid, I've a

Shipping 3rd party sources? [Re: [Ganglia-developers] BuildRequires: rrdtool-devel]

2006-03-28 Thread Martin Knoblauch
Bernard, not from my side. Can you restrict that to the "gmetad" rpm only? AFAIK, rrd-devel is only needed there. In any case, this open up again the question of shipping 3rd party code together with the sources. We do it for "apr", "confuse" and "expat", but we don't for rrdtools. Not really c

Re: [Ganglia-developers] multiple incompatible versions of 'libtool'.

Chuck, because we ship "original" versions of some 3rd paty code like "apr", "confuse" and "expat". Only top-level and "libmetrics" are native gmond. Has this caused actual problems? If I use the same command on a "configured" tree on my FC4 system, all seems to point to the correct "sed" locat

Richard, sure. That needs to be fixed. Matt has checked in a better solution than the loop code. Actually, with Matts changes, all EAGAIN problems should be fixed. Q: do you see this behaviour with the current CVS code? That has the fix since March 18th. If yes, Matt needs to know. Cheers Mart
