going to 1.2.7 would be great, because that would have the multicast
stuff that Matt added on top of 0.9.x
I actually tried it for 3.0.3, but it resulted in compilation errors
and we wanted to get a release out. That is why we selected 0.9.7.
Maybe we should start looking at it again.
