I have two female Teratoscincus scincus keyserlingii that go through a false gravidity (?) at regular intervals. They are going on two years old and have never been housed with males although the males are nearby. The eggs produced don't look much like eggs but the females do swell up and appear

Hi Melody, I've used it with moderate success with my crested...it takes quite a bit longer to gel up than it says on the label (or maybe I'm mixing it a bit weak??) I would say (as I think some others have) that is probably more readily accepted mixed in with baby food than just straight as is..

Mix it up for them correctly 2:1 water to food and you will see them ravenous. For Cresteds I add some babyfood. If Allen intended it to be a dry food he would have provided those kind of instructions on the label. Use a tablespoon to measure both food and water and you can't go wrong! Julie

Since Jim pointed out that the teratoscincus scincus keyserlingii will go through false gravidity periods prior to even been mated. I'll state that they do the same even after being separated from the male for long periods of time. Which I believe may be due to sperm retention in that case, while
