Right off the bat, protein content (Gargoyle has the highest) and sweetness (Day Gecko food). When I told Alan the Mauritius days needed more babyfood mixed in he said he could not really make it taste much sweeter!  If you read the labels there are a ton of ingredients in each food. Julie B.

Hi Doug, Yes, it would be convenient to just use one food, but I hadn't thought of that! Thanks for the info though! Does anyone know just what the difference is between the various foods? I now feed my day geckos and crested the same (bugs, mostly crickets, and baby-food fruit) Melody Doug

I tried the crested gecko food with day geckos and wasn't happy with the results. They just didn't seem to do as well. The day gecko food seems much better for them, it mixes up better than the Rhac foods. Neil Melody... I attached a question to a forum, moderated by Allen, back on October 1

I've found the same. With the gargoyle diet I have to use even less water or it just doesn't thicken up. Maybe it's like rice, and the right amount of water varies with elevation : ) It does work though, I followed directions and started mixing with babyfood for a month or so and now I use it strai

With the crested gecko diet, I've found that I have to use just slightly less than a 2:1 ratio of water to food. If I do 2 parts water to 1 part food by volume (say, 1 level teaspoon of water to 1/2 level teaspoon of food), the mixture is slightly too runny. If, however, I use, say, a slightl
