I don't know that scanner is directly supported in the sane backend. I
had to patch sane-backends to get my HP3400C scanner working.

modules and modules_install. It owerwrites the xfree-drm
modules and I have to emerge xfree-drm again.
In the beginning it was quite confusing that DRI support disappeared
suddenly and I had no clue why that happened.

The console mode is works almost except for the "åäö" keys which display
sigma characters and so on.
What are the locations where gentoo defines the keyboard layouts? How
did the emerge break my keyboard layout?
