OK, AT LASSTT
Here's what you do to get it all working.
You install as usual. Loading the ataraid module and pdcraid module.
You compile your kernel with these options:
ATA/IDE/MFM/RLL support --->
<*> ATA/IDE/MFM/RLL support
IDE, ATA and ATAPI Block devices --->
id/disc0/part3/ ext3 noatime
