I am quickly getting to the hair-pulling stage because I cannot accomplish the
simple setup of qmail and spamassassin. There is lots of docs out there, but
they all suggest completely different ways of doing things.
Here's what I have:

I followed the instructions in the gentoo docs, so installed
spamassassin followed by qmail-scanner.

queuing more than 13000 message. i issued #qmHandle -D to delete the
queue. when it finished. i issued #qmail-qstat so now its showing

First thing qmail-1.03-r16 *is* masked (testing in my profile at least)
-r15 is the stable version.
Maybe (if possible, don't need something from -r16) you should try -r15
first.
Now checking and saw there are 24 patches against vanilla qmail-1.03 in
