a bugzilla report on this, as an RFE (Request For Enhancement).

biggest alphabet. How is the military alphabet with CJK or Indic
scripts;
The program would easily associate letters to their representation in
the local language.

Typically WAN cards are not consumer electronics, so they are not that
high profile.
For example, you would need a WAN card for a T1/E1 connection.

precedence over LANG.
Therefore, change LANGUAGE between it and en.

You got it a bit mixed up :)
Translation Project (TP) is basically for other programs what GTP is
for Gnome
has GNOME 2.10(almost there) to try out gweather
and see if it actually works for them?
Please report back your $LANG and if it works.
If possible, try different values for $LANG to help others.

gnome-applets-locations domain with msgstr=msgid (that's 'copy'), if the
message is not already translated.
I am not sure if a script has been developed in the meanwhile.

the ScriptFu plugin Drop Shadow.
The part I am missing is how you make the blending in, with
transparency. Especially usefull if you do not want to show the whole
window but part of it.
