Quick question Bart.
The other day someone asked me how many Hits my site received per
day. Since I use App engine, the metrics available to me on the
Dashboard are Requests/Sec. I'm no math whiz, so this might seem like
a dumb question... but how can I extrapolate from that, how many
Requests
Can you elaborate a little more on your costs using Appengine? It will
be very useful information for us. What we need to know is what we
should expect as our site scales up in users. Approximately how many
requests are you getting and how much is it costing you? Thanks.

I've seen apps that are doing maybe a couple million requests per day cost
$50 a day, I've seen apps doing tens of millions of requests a day cost $50
a day, and I've seen apps do over one hundred million requests in a day cost
$500 a day. It completely depends on how intensive your app is

monetization model you shouldn't use AppEngine
I am always building products that are ad-monetized and for example
today my ECPM dropped from 0.9 to 0.04

Every site and app are different. Without any idea of what you're doing
there is no way to compare. What kind of traffic levels do you expect? Will
each request hit the data store, how many times? Will there be back end
processing involved?

The reason I ask in such a general way is because it is difficult to
make such estimates at this time. The site is still new so it doesn't
have much traffic. I have accountant types breathing down my neck
