De4ar Penny,
Here's a few more guesses to throw in the ring.
#4 - looks Aztec or Mayan from the headdresses.
#14 - Hungarian or perhaps Polish? (taking it from the woman's red boots)
#15 - Greek?
#17 - French ? Briitany?
#20? 1770-1790 - this is supposed to be depicting AMERICAN dancing??
I want to thank everyone who gave me some ideas of what to do with my 5+
yards of black linen. It may go for bodice lining primarily, but some of the
other non-monochromatic images were intriguing.

I would definitely start with a Truly Victorian pattern. Their website is
wonderful with pictures of their outfits made up by themselves or other
customers! It really helps with the planning. I would also second the mention
that

I just scored 5 1/3 yards of linen blend at my local Joanne's on clearance
for only $3.00/yard! The only trouble is that it is black linen - but I
thought Hey, linen - only $3 - I can make something from that! My question
to
the group now - what can I make? I do have linen in other colors
I'll probably go to TV for the bodice and skirt patterns too because I don't
feel comfortable draping yet,
but I'd sure like any suggestions or help you can give me

To use the veil, you could get an old hat, cut off the brim and wire the

My h-costume santa sent some lovely hand made lace sewn to make a beautiful

mind that people can do that! Thanks for your time and effort. It is much

Dear h-costumers,
As I went about my Christmas shopping with my lists from my college age
children who all want cds and dvds for gifts now, I was at Borders Bookstore
and
(having printed a few cupons from the internet from their site) I was ablel to
get 25% savings on a book and a cd.
I'd be happy to share my script and song list
with anyone wanting to recreate a Victorian parlour and present these
terrific pieces--

I would love to have a copy of your production script! I am always looking
for something theatrical
The former curator very kindly arranged for Anne and I to meet with Linda

some ladies' garments of the same period, plus drawers full of quilted
petticoats, pockets and stomachers.

That's great education! I knew I had hit a high point with my family when we
went to see Shakespeare in Love
If anyone wants further information, I now have an update, which is a
bit long winded, but will happily forward individually if required.
Yes, please send it to me. I visited the Museum two years ago and it was
wonderful!
Being in costumes and theatre made it doubly interesting.

I got this packet from Australia two weeks before Christmas and had to put it
away so I would be good and not open it before I was supposed to. My secret
Santa was Sharon Nevin who sent a cross stitched beaded Christmas card (very
lovely) and a hand made green velveteen pouch with gold tassels
