Looking again into your config, what is this:
option httpchk /test-testalive
suppose to be testing? Looks like instead of testing the ELB as an endpoint
you are actually testing your application so the timeouts are comming from
your app and not the ELB. I would suggest you remove that

Are the setups equal?
I mean do you stop on the same machine the haproxy and start the nginx
or are the setups different?

I just put a service that has around 400 - 4K http / https mixed requests
per second behind haproxy. The endpoint with the highest rate of requests
is a POST request with a 1-8K json body. I used haproxy for mostly ssl
offloading since there is only one server. Immediately I started seeing lo

There is one more issue after introducing Internal ELB is overall
performance of site is slightly reduced. The response which I used to get
in less than 100 ms now some time is going beyond 100 ms.
Any clue how can I improve it.
