Hi All,
Options file (19) in fileman contains option entries
for all packages in vista. Help (??) on the type field
shows that the type field can have one of the
following entries:
'A' FOR action;
'E' FOR edit;
'I' FOR inquire;
'M' FOR menu;
'P' FOR print;
'R' FOR run routine;
'O' FOR protocol;
Imran,
The VA has its VistA manuals posted at http://www.va.gov/vdl (VistA
Document Library).
You'll want to select 'Kernel' in the 'Infrastructure' section and
choose the 'Programmer Manual' from the listed Kernel docs.

Hi All,
Go to the Hardhats Web site at www.hardhats.org and use the new search engine
in the lower left hand corner. You will get lots of hits in the VDL.

I took a stab at Aida a few years back, but gave up. Without a proper
tutorial/documentation, the learning curve is too steep and my time/efforts
were better spent elsewhere.
I found the ESIObjects stuff for GT.M to be better and much easier to learn.

If you're running on Cache there is a free tool for mapping Fileman to
Objects and/or SQL. The routines are in the newest version of Cache. I can
send it to you if you're not on the latest release. It takes less than 5
minutes to install, and depending on what you're mapping the SQL table
