I've stayed with Acronis and am running version 2015. Yes, the interface is
a bit more complex, but I think it's still a good one.
Others that you might want to look at would be Macrium Reflect, Aoemi
Backerupper, or Easesus To-do backup. Paragon's product is also worth a
look.

Just don't know. Honestly, don't use system restore. I prefer drive imaging.
Some research (cursory) suggests the worth of a system file check from an
elevated command prompt.

That¹s too bad. Later versions of Outlook have vastly improved IMAP
support. Most recently, they¹ve begun to introduce a modified exchange
server (so called Exchange Active Sync) that works very well. I have it
running on Windows 8 and 7 and now a Mac.

Where I find I have the pro version is control panel | system. To see if you
have the update to 8.1 you have to look for search icon.
Kind of explains why they had to lose Sinofsky.

Very good program. I dual boot at least 2 OS's typically. Right now, 7 and
8.1.
I used this one too just recently when I ran into a problem with good
results.

Hi - Sorry for the interruption but does anyone know how to change an email
address for this list?
Thank.s
a problem with 7 since 8 and 8.1 have been on-board.
I've found that the upgrade disks differ from 7 and Vista. In 8 you have to
have a qualifying OS installed or 8 won't install. Literally on a bare metal
system, to run the upgrade for 8 I had to install 7 only to let 8 blow it
away.
Vincent
You'll end up with a dual boot.

The alternative would be to go with gmail. You're not dealing as much with
your ISP.

2013 IMAP is vastly improved and the file now ends in *.ost if
you're running Gmail.
Those things I want to more or less permanently save I save to the local
