Hi all,
I'm hoping that the wisdom and experience of the crowd can help me out.
A local Christian seminary librarian recently wrote to me saying that
she wanted to add a short (1 hour or so) video about Judaism to her
collection. She specifically wants Jewish theology and customs, _not_
My congregation also recently re-organized its library. We hired a
wonderful consultant, our own Susan Dubin, to help make those kind of
decisions and set up a new system.

This was an interesting article about a great collection. I wonder how
many cookbooks she bought after the initial 700? Here at Hebrew Union
College, we also pride ourselves on our cookbook collection. A catalog

I think that having an AJL Facebook group is a great idea. I know that

I have been working on converting my subject guides to various parts of
rabbinic literature
HUC-LA is located near downtown Los Angeles. Since we are almost
surrounded by fires (to the west, north-west, north-east, east and
south-east - most 30-60 miles away) our air is pretty smokey and sooty.
One staff member did have to evacuate her home, but so far is doing

they do a two step search. I tell them to start with a keyword search

You didn't mention HUC's Cincinnati policy about dust jackets ... from what
I remember the practice had been to cut the inside flaps of the dust jacket
and glue them into the books to preserve any author information etc. I
know that jackets had been selectively kept as well (but
