others like it?

Hi Jackie BenEfraim and/or everyone,
I'm trying to send a message to Jackie, but it keeps getting bounced.
Jackie if you're reading this, please send me your e-mail address and
phone number.
Can someone else please send same information?
It's about Convention.
Thank you,

Hi folks,
My second roommate arrangement has also fallen through. :-(
So I'm again looking for a female roommate for convention. I'm
arriving on the 4th and staying until Friday, the 10th, but I realize
most people are staying for the convention days/nights only, which is fine.
'Hope to hear
I don't know what happened to the phone numbers!
The home one is correct; work is 202-362-4433 x116

I forgot to mention that we do have a Library Committee (with a super

I have just inherited Destiny with my new job. I hate it. It is
totally user-unfriendly.
I left Athena (Sagebrush),which I had chosen and which was terrific.
I was so unhappy with Follett taking over -- a huge, impersonal, all

I really like Debbie's idea of AJL's hiring a professional to help on this.
After all, we're the ones insisting on hiring professional librarians
for librarians, so why not hire someone who really knows how to do
what we want?

I agree with you, and thank you for your efforts in making a very strong

you please do so. We (that is, those agitating to change

There is also an expanded Dewey, used at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day
School, Rockville, MD, and soon to be used by me at the Melvin J. Berman
Hebrew Academy. Since we have a large secular collection as well as the
Judaica, I wanted one system for the whole library.

As I just added in to the previous discussion, I very much believe in and
wanted to use one system for the entire library. To me, this is the only
way that makes good library sense, and prevents headaches over which
collection/cataloging system a particular book might belong in.
I plan to use
Danny Siegel books! Our (shul's) tzedakah havurah gives one of his books on

I think the question applies equally, actually far more, to whether
orthodox schools and libraries include materials from all of Judaism --
forget feminism; what about plain old Conservative, Reconstructionist, and

And, again, the point is not about even-handednss towards the

Apparently, you are discussing demonization literature (such as the
schoolbooks of the Palestinians).
I, on the other hand, have in mind books (and films, although I have not
