You have to pay to be on his global list. My hlstatsx is open to all! Granted
There are a few things missing like server rank and sorting the servers by name
or players but as this community grows so will the program.

I heard that srcds supports map-specific config files now. I've tried
placing de_dust.cfg in /cfg, /maps, and /cfg/maps but it doesn't get
executed.
Does srcds really support this or were the people who said that confused
with the functionality

It is a functionality of Mani (and maybe other plugins), but not plain srcds

For CS:S, it's maps/cfg/[mapname].cfg. I could've sworn it was
originally just cfg/[mapname].cfg, but who knows. It's inconsistent
with DOD:S though, which uses the latter path.

yup, it's maps/cfg/mapname.cfg .

And you do not need Mani

Anyone succeeded in getting their windows box to do something other than 64
fps or 512 fps.
I read this article about changing the timing but i have not had any success
it doesn't seem to matter.

/TIMERES seems to not have any effects it does

Run a hi Res Timer
Set fps_max to 200 and you ougth to get your 128fps (or thereabouts) from
memory
64
128
256
512
These are fps you tend to see with a high res timer and a fps_max value to
suit

The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a corresponding cpu usage drop
at say fps_max 200
hlds and srcds seem to take the same cpu no matter what I set the fps too if
its on high res it takes what it take regardless of the fps setting in the
server. I could be off on that but I don't see any
I just run one of the many solutions for upping the mm timer within Windows,
then set my sys_ticrate at any value I want. I currently have a TFC steady
at 200ftps, 3 TFC and an FLF at a steady 165fps each, and 2 CS at 110fps
each.
I've found that they run slightly under my sys_ticrate setting,
Have you tried setting them to 512 and measured the cpu they use?
On this end w2k3 it appears really not to matter the cpu.
The goal is to make well running 100tick css servers running on a resolution
of say 196 fps within the os itself.

Silly me
Is this for SRCDS or HLDS ?

The goal is to
either actually but the primary concern is getting the os to about 200 or so
instead of 512 and testing a 100 tick css server for cpu usage and
stability/performance
it should also translate into lower cpu use for hlds as well.
