SRCDS connects to the Steam servers using local UDP port 26900 for the
first instance, 26901 for the second instance etc. Checking that your
firewall is letting that through is a start I guess :-)
Having said that, HLDS does the same, and you had that working without issue.

Hi, I was looking into setting up my own dedicated servers on Windows 2003
Server. The server is an AMD Opteron 275, 2GB Memory, 15k RPM SCSI HD. I

As of today my clients are getting "Error varifying STEAM userID ticket""
when they connect to every one of my servers.
I run two dod:s servers, one cs:s, two hl2mp, one hl2ctf and an eternal
silence server and we're all getting the same errors on all of them.
Restarting the servers seems to fix
verifying...lol.

Wait it out dude, its pretty clear by the stats page theres an auth issue. It
typically happens on the weekends and doesn't always effect everyone.

google black viper's xp guide. i know ur not using xp but xp is basically
2003 with a few graphical changes. stop all the services u will not need. do
this test some where like your house first then u have access to the box if
anything goes wrong
