I have run a Windows 2008 Dedicated server box and I've noticed for quite
some time that the TF2 servers gradually climb in system memory usage from
their starting point of around 340 MB to nearly 1 GB of RAM at times.
Certain servers are worse than others, but all of them leak. A sto

Maybe it has something to do with the way the new update interfaces with the

First off, your servers aren't Vanilla if you're running MetaMod Source and
SourceMod on them. Vanilla means they are stock as though you downloaded
them fresh from Valve.

I have searched for nearly an hour and came up empty. There are several
"how to" guides on using SteamCMD to perform a new installation. However
none that I was able to find to convert an existing install of HLDS to

Windows-based TF2 servers won't update successfully if they're running. No
big deal. We have always dealt with that just fine.

Another thing to watch for is if you're using gameME or some other external
stats system. The amount of traffic a server sends to an external stats
database is huge and caused my bandwidth usage to sky-rocket when I added
gameME to my servers.
