My server is running at tick rate 33, no max rate or min rate, and has 64 player slots. It runs Debian Linux, on a P4 3.6GHz with 1GB of RAM - it doesn't run *anything* other than srcds (and sshd, obviously). Since the update, I have observed almost *twice* the bandwidth being received in clients

Yup same here, people complaining of extra choke. Also when monitoring via stats, fps drops from 500 fairly steady to ~50 fairly often which could be related. CPU usage looks higher on average, but don't have any specific figures as wasn't really watching that close before. Machine is a dual xeon
