you can remove the NOTIFY flag from the convar, by recompiling the plugin or
by doing something like this
new Handle:cv = FindConVar("sm_hidden"); new flags = GetConVarFlags(cv);
flags &= ~FCVAR_NOTIFY; SetConVarFlags(cv, flags);
BTW, which are the server rules you think should be hidden? and why
An optional update for Team Fortress 2 is now available. The specific changes
include:
- Fixed server crash caused by a Scout using the Sandman on an enemy Scout who
has used Bonk!
- Made Ellis' Cap and the Frying Pan tradable
- Added "Automatically respawn after loadout changes in respawn zo
But how? I think windows/linux servers handle queries differently.

There are information about how to query a server and get info, player
and rules on this page

some rules(Server Variables/cvars) shouldn't be public(non-players).
HLSW and game-monitor.com can show most of the rules. Is there

Should be enough to run it.
The main issue with vps is that can lag when other hosts are performing disk
intensive tasks, or you hit cpu usage limit given to your machine -
sometimes if the load is for too long and too high then there happens that
vps can get suspended for a certain period of time
Crit-o-cola is also causing the same issue. Just tested this myself too, and
indeed this is a problem.
So all those random crashes even on vanilla systems sure sounds like this issue.

Since the specs of the VPS are unknown (hint), I'm not sure what Don P
is basing his verdict on. But it's a fact that Goldsource requires
relatively low specs. On the scale of dedicated hardware, 10 slots
should run fine on a Pentium III at 1 GHz with 150 MB RAM (give or take
a little).

Valve are aware and have stated that a patch is almost complete and
should be out within the next day or two.

Apparently 2with 2 scouts you can crash a tf2 server now? One drinks
bonk while another sits point blank and tries to hit them with a
sandman baseball, and close to instantly it crashes.

IT should be sufficient to run your server, it would depend upon how many
other servers are running on that box but you probably will not know being
that its VPS. Most of the times the run 4-5 servers on the one box.
If you were wrunning a 32 player server you might notice lag if the box is

Hello,
Just wondering for sort of spec would a DOD server for 6 - 10 people would

Oh, hai.
I know this is a bit late to the party, but I felt it was kind of...
interesting. IBM ran some tests regarding this very subject (VMDq) in
March and their short (7 pages), but very informational report can be
