This has been an on-going and neglected issue for many months - I believe it
has been happening ever since the DerpTrolling DDoS. Valve needs deal with the
problem rather than turn a blind eye.
I am aware that Garry Newman (Garry's Mod) have contacted Valve about this and

All other filters are 'default'.

It is extremely unlikely that Valve will have the box unchecked by
default as they want players to know the difference between a official

But the problem still exists. A
new player would not know the difference between a Valve and non-valve

There are many quickplay-enabled servers out there that change the respawn
times without having the 'respawntimes' sv_tag. I have used the server-report
feature to bring this to Valve's attention
Can we try to stay on the matter of the topic; this isn't about your opinions
on what rate of respawn time is best.
Point is; will anything be done to those who do not set their sv_tags for
respawntimes correctly. It is becoming more and more common that a quickplay
user would expect fast

On linux the CPU affinity is auto-detected/decided by the srcds process, which
is normal (same as hlds). I monitored the threads created by the process: they

I have tried to validate and re-installed the servers, unfortunately the spikes
still happen (not as bad). Strangely enough all the servers spike at the same

Also tried with and without replay, only minor reduction in CPU.

I've removed /addons/ and the CPU is still high (90%+), and jumps a lot.
Tried disabling replay too.
