I have a quick question about Left 4 Dead 2 dedicated server. When you use
custom content like custom map, it look like that you can't connect to a
server using a map you do not have (like any other game).
But setting up a downloadURL do not seem to be compatible with the VPK
system as

First, if the steam_appid.txt file do not exist, it will create one that is
not working (at least on linux Debian). Example for DOD:S:

Does anyone have any issue since the yesterday update with DOD:S servers ?
Most if not all our DOD:S server give Steam Validation Rejected when
you try to connect to them since the TF2 / Orangebox update was
released. Updating the orangebox binarie do not fix the problem.
Any idea ?
Found the bug. If you have the problem, remove the file
orangebox/dod/bin/server_i486.so which seem to have been removed from
the steam repository.

I have CSS and TF2 servers assigned 1 per core on our machine, no
crashes or freezes. (talking about CSS, haven't played TF2 yet).
Uptimes show that they have been up since the update though.

Actually, the query protocol and the console status are reporting
different informations. Ghost are not in the console status.
