increasing the command line buffer is nothing compared to what
mp_forceautojoin will do. hard coding, game implications. these are 2 VERY
different things to implement.

don't forget that any new slot on your server will increase the load
exponetially! i mean 2 14slots cs servers will never have the load of a
single 32slots one.
here: on my barton 2800+, mobo abit nf7-s v2 (nforce2 ultra), fsb333, 1g
ddr333 cl2, 3com python; i have 2 cs 1.5 servers atm.
2) Changing the Port from 27016 to 27017
cmon you can't be serious about that.
do a fresh install. i mean hlds3110c + boffix_v3. rock solid here. test it
on a standard map.. de_dust. then test the server against fy_iceworld. then
add your meta + adminmod + etc.
no crash for 3weeks
i say you go back to your pac-man servers. c-d has nothing to do with hltv.

Hello folks!
Some one have a good HLTV tutorial that
got some weird problems with some commands.. this showing in my logs just
before the map starts:
L 09/05/2003 - 00:45:51: [ADMIN] Time left on map: 44:01.
L 09/05/2003 - 00:45:51: [ADMIN] Executing command: mp_timelimit 47
L 09/05/2003 - 00:45:51: [ADMIN] Executing command: sv_restartround 10

yes it's hlsw causing _a lot_ of lag because all your logs are transmited
live to a remote box. i use this for irc-bots.. but only in competition, with
only 1 hlds running on that machine. it's very cpu consuming.
change the rcon_pass or block the ports.

i've solved it. one of my admins did it. but hlds should have logged it.
and it's linked to adminmod.. not hlds.

i have a team in pro-gaming and yes the 5sec death-cam can be very
helpful. you don't even have to talk, the guy next to you just takes a quick
look.
so boring as it may seem at first, mp_fadetoblack 1 is a MUST in
competition.
and i have more good news for you. been playin' with cs1.6beta

I opted for VAC, which seems the best anti-cheat
10x for the reply mate.. but i would really like an answer from valve.. if
they have a little time to spare :))
and hmm.. let me rephrase 1.
1. if the server fails to download VAC at startup, i have to /quit the server and
start
it all over again or.. i just let it be without VAC and it
really hate when people bitch on the list. it's REALLY unproductive. so...
i just want some on valve to explain why this major problem with x.1.1.1.
just an answer on the list. and if it's a bug or not. really hope you guys
will do somethin' about it.
just 2 (20 slots) servers on a 2100+
